Animals have always been my favorite subjects to paint. As a classically trained oil painter, I draw on the traditions of academic realism to create portraits that are thoughtful, honest, and personal. I earned my Master of Fine Arts from the University of New Orleans and later continued my studies at the New York School of Visual Arts, where I strengthened the technical skills that remain the foundation of my work.

I also have a special interest in painting endangered wildlife. A portion of the proceeds from these works is donated to organizations that support wildlife conservation and the protection of endangered species.

I love the simplicity of classical portraiture. By keeping the composition clean and focusing on light, form, and careful observation, I create paintings that feel intimate, atmospheric, and slightly mysterious. I especially enjoy painting subjects with a lot of personality. There is something subtly humorous about capturing that personality within the seriousness and formality of a classical portrait.
